Five pics - bike hit and run in Tilgate

"Yesterday morning I had one of my worst nightmares came true...my daughter had been hit by a car while out doin her paper round but to make things worse the driver of the car didn’t even stop and left the scene ... IT WAS A SILVER GOLF (old style) this was on dickens road tilgate I believe the people love around this area..it should have some damage to the front of the car somewhere nd a black guard missing!!she was help by some lovely people... after a trip to the hospital she has no broken bones lots of nasty cuts and bruised badly but I want to find the people responsible for this so please share so hopefully someone will have seen something"

Moonfest

I am currently trying to promote a charity event for St Catherine’s Hospice at The New Moon in Southgate Crawley. The event is called ‘Moonfest’ in the 27th of May, which will be a whole day event including stalls, games and food for the whole community.

Part of the day will be a ‘Battle of the Bands’ competition which will involve a cash prize and would be a great opportunity for local bands to promote themselves.

I am currently helping to gather bands and acts to take part but could use a little help.

I would like to ask if you could please share a post on your page to this effect;

Swan update from Clare - Friends Of Tilgate Park.

The new cygnets have arrived and we need dog walkers to please place their dogs on leads when walking around the lake particularly by the two bridges as this is where they cross from One lake to the other and stop to preen and eat grass. We don’t want any repeats of last years incidents. Dad swan will be very protective of his family and will attack if he feels threatened.
We will be placing posters around the lake to advise dog walkers.

"So just wondering if anyone can help me track down these charitable guys who kindly attended the celebrity charity football match at crawley town on bank holiday Monday in aid of a children’s charity. After having such a great time they kindly took it on themselves to try and steal my motorbike damaging it so it’s un rideable. I would dearly love to pass on my thanks, if anyone can help track them down it would be appreciated"

Broadfield Mosque planning application

"Hi.....please could you share. This planning application has gone up at Broadfield mosque, residents will already be aware of the parking issues surrounding the mosque and the proposal will be taking up half the mosques currently used rough carpark....creating further parking issues. Any local residents want to raise a concern with planning, you only have until the 16th May."
